  • Winter Futsal 2003 mini-tournament organised by Claudio Carneiro and Miguel Bastos.

  • AGFC League 2003: CERN promoted to League B!
    Another successful year!.

  • CFC League 2003: CRYO Champions yet again!

2002

  • Winter Futsal 2002: Caterpillar Champions!
    16 particpating teams, 12 CERN and 4 non-CERN.
    The traditional prize-giving buffet followed the final game, with more than 80 people attending.
    Basically all teams offered their deposit to Didier & Carine. Thank you!

  • World Cup 2002: France Champions!
    Second edition of the CERN World Cup.

  • Swissair Summer League 2002: CERN Champions!!!

  • AGFC League 2002: CERN promoted to League C!
    After a couple of years of absence, CERN joins again the AGFC, and it wins soon the promotion from league D to league C.

  • CFC League 2002: CRYO Champions!
    GoZ0 wins the league, but loses in semifinal to CRYO, which wins the final against Pepperonies.
    Fairplay: this year rate was 96.4%, to be compared to 93.6% of 2001, and 87.4% of 2000, when it was introduced for the first time.

  • After having brought enthusiasm and a lot of new fresh ideas to the club, Mario Ruggier quits CERN and the Committee, while the other members are confirmed as follows:

2001

  • Winter Futsal 2001: Agazapated Champions!
    12 particpating teams, 10 CERN and 2 non-CERN.
    A prize-giving buffet followed the final game, with about 80 people attending.

  • Swissair Summer League 2001
    CERN is only 5th this year...

  • CFC League 2001: MF-AI Champions!
    Fairplay awards to Cryo and Supra-Coops.
    12 CERN teams participating, with more than 200 registered players.
2000

  • Winter Futsal 2000: Pepperonies Champions!
    16 particpating teams, 9 CERN and 7 non-CERN, and a total of 216 registered players.
    A prize-giving buffet followed the final game, with 90+ people attending.
    Some participating teams again offered their deposit money to Didier&Carine, raising a total of 500 ChF.
    Nikos organized also a xmas gift collection for Didier's children, raising another 800+ ChF.

  • CFC World Cup 2000: ...and, it's Spain!
    First time this 2-week fun tournament is organized.
    Participation fees consisted of volontary donations to Didier&Carine.

  • Swissair Summer League 2000
    CERN wins league but loses in semi-final against Cheminots, who go on to win the final!

  • The CFC participates in the Hardronic festival (Sat 22 July) for the first time, thanks to volunteers Frederic, Andrea Carraro, Xavi, Angela and Mario. The 466.60 ChF received from the benefits were donated to Didier&Karine.

  • CFC League 2000: GoZ0 Champions!
    Fairplay awards to Fairboots and Opal.
    13 CERN teams participating, with about 250 registered players.
    For the first time, the league was ended with a prize-giving BBQ at Prevessin site, offered by the CFC to all league particpants, with about 100 people attending.
    Some of teh participating teams offered their deposit money to Didier&Carine, thus raising a total of 605 ChF.

  • Help for Didier & Carine
    On Wednesday 21 June, Didier Puertolas suffers an haemorrage cerebral during a CERN League football game.
    To help the family financially, a first collection is organized by Malte Godbersen, and in July an official CFC account was created for the purpose of receiving donations for Didier for longer term help. Thanks to all who donated (total by Dec 2000 exceeds 20,000 ChF).

  • For the first time in recent known history, the CERN pitch in St.Genis was rolled on Good Friday (21 April), thanks to volunteers Carlos, Didier, Nilo, Gonzalo, Ghena, Karl, Bob & Mario.
